Who are the participants of our panel?

Basic information about the research group.
The “Between Ukraine and Poland”, research panel, conducted by the Center for Migration Research at the University of Warsaw, currently has almost 3,500 active participants – citizens of Ukraine who live in Poland and have agreed to participate in periodic quantitative and qualitative surveys.
In order to present the profile of our research group, we present below the basic socio-demographic data of the panel participants.

- Number of panelists: approximately 3,500 people
- Gender: The panel is dominated by women – they make up about 80% of the participants.
- Age: A significant proportion are young adults up to the age of 34. The most represented group is 35-44 years old. A slightly smaller, but still significant, share is accounted for by those aged 45-55, while those over 55 make a limited appearance on the panel.
- Education: The majority of panelists have a university degree – almost 70%. More than 20% of participants have a high school education, while the rest have graduated from other types of schools, including vocational or elementary.
- Region of residence: the largest group of panelists live in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship – about 25% Next in terms of numbers are the Lower Silesian, Lesser Poland and Greater Poland Voivodeships – each with a share of about 10%.
- Employment status: More than 75% of the panelists are economically active. Participants also include job seekers and those temporarily inactive in the labor market.
- Migration status: Nearly 60% of the panelists came to Poland after the outbreak of full-scale war in Ukraine in February 2022. The remainder are migrants who settled in Poland before that date.
