About the Study
The study „Time matters – the temporal aspect of intergroup contact” was commissioned by the Department of Psychology at the University of Warsaw. The panel survey was one of several studies spread across four lines of research. Its aim is to investigate how the impact of intergroup contact on attitudes towards foreign groups depends on the passage of time.
With global migration and increasing social diversity, it is important to understand how intergroup contact can help create peace and balance in society.
Number of respondents: 450 people
Study topics
- Relations between Ukrainians and Poles
- Openness to contacts or preference for one’s own group
- Preservation of cultural distinctiveness – language, religion, lifestyle
- Level of involvement of Ukrainians in efforts to improve their situation in Poland
- Views on social, economic issues (e.g. taxes, social spending) etc.
