About the Study

The study “Polish-Ukrainian History and Refugees’ Adaptation Strategies” analyses Polish-Ukrainian relations through the prism of their shared history and the current realities resulting from the outbreak of full-scale war in Ukraine and increased migration to Poland.

Particular attention is paid to the role of memory regarding difficult events from the past and the influence of public discourse on the mutual perceptions of both nations.

In this context, the study analyses the everyday experiences of migrants from Ukraine in Poland, their functioning within society and their plans for the future.
